Oh, hey there, Monday.

Did I even have a weekend? I felt like I was going non-stop the whole time. I don’t think at any point I really sat and just relaxed. Not even when Molly called. Seriously, I was pacing the whole time, and that’s funny because I was talking about the hubster and the son just last week how they cannot sit still and talk on the phone, but pace all over the house the whole time. It was probably even Molly that I was telling that to. Now, to be honest, the only reason I wasn’t sitting for that call was because I was upstairs, and my phone downstairs when she called, and I kind of ran down the stairs to answer it and so the pacing could be considered a cool-down. hahaha!

It took me 3 hours to transcribe 52 minutes of audio.

I can’t remember how many times I had to buy groceries. Yes, even with a list. Clearly, I didn’t have a good list. 😉

I realized Saturday afternoon that I am signed up for a race this Saturday. Somehow, I lost a week. Eek. I am totally not ready…

I ate a ton of garlic yesterday. My lunch today had a ton of onion. I know my co-workers are loving both. hahaha

Have I ever mentioned there are not enough hours in the day? Have I ever mentioned I envy stay-at-home moms? Yeah, I never thought I’d say that. Seriously I do.

Hates when I got to search for something, get distracted, and then can’t remember what I was searching for.

Wonders how much of my hair will come out. It’s been coming out the last few days like it was before I went gluten free… *sigh*

Speaking of gluten, the daughter made gluteny pancakes last night and I almost picked one up and ate it. And someone needs to run up to Whole Foods and get me a loaf of gf bread….that isn’t frozen… Which reminds me, I am almost out of gf hamburger buns meaning I need to make a trip to Trader Joe’s…

Just because…

I pace when I’m on the phone too. Cannot sit still!

You think stay at home moms have more hours in the day?? Oh wait, maybe ones that don’t homeschool do… Although, even when I had kids in school, I always had small ones at home, so I didn’t have more hours in the day then either. I honestly had the most ‘free’ time when I had four kids and was working a full time job. I had my whole lunch hour to myself for the gym or kid-free errands, my commutes to make phone calls, more ‘play’ time on the computer to catch up on emails, etc.

*stepping down off my “in defense of sahm” soap box now* lol! 😉

Have you tried the Schar GF buns & bread? Not frozen, awesome texture, tastes better than the others, in my opinion. They sell it at Nature’s Own (& at the commissary). I just discovered it a few months ago.

Yes, sahms have more hours in the day to do things at home…like clean & cook…compared to working moms who try to squeeze that in after physically away from the house for 11 hours each day M-F. When I made the statement, I thought, “I need to explain what I mean by that before I get slammed.” LOL

No, but I may have seen that at Walmart before in the tiny gf section. 😉

Oh, the hair thing – you may need an extra vitamin that you are deficient in. *they* say hair loss is genetic, but it’s directly tied to nutrients. I know a B vitamin is involved, but I can’t remember which one. I think I have an article saved somewhere (because I continued to struggle with hair loss after giving up gluten too – but I don’t anymore).

Also, I hope I didn’t sound snarky on the sahm thing – I didn’t mean it that way! 🙂

Maybe. For now I am thinking it’s part of the whole scalp damage from the dye thing because it wasn’t coming out like this before that.

hahahaha! You were a little snarky, but that’s what I get for not explaining myself. I find your snarky entertaining anyway, even if it’s directed at me. lol

    Musta missed this post yesterday.
    Today is MY Monday now.

I pace around when I talk on the phone too. Maybe it’s a Guy Thing?

    • DragonLady says:

It was kind of late(ish) in the day before I posted it. This is Monday #2. 😉

hahaha! Maybe. I was on the phone twice last night and didn’t pace for either. Granted, the second call required sitting in front of the computer as we were going over a document. lol

I’m not a guy and I pace. There goes that theory.

    I don’t have time to cook either… :-/

  5. Petra says:

And… Yep, I have more time for cleaning – but I have five kids here messing it up all day long too… So there’s more cleaning to be done. I had to do less cleaning when I was working. Just sayin’… 😉

Again, your post must be referring to moms of only older kids who go to school. They’re the ones who have more time to clean & cook.

Pretty much… there’s pros and cons to each mentioned scenario. 🙂
