I’m almost ready to jump back into it, but not here. I’m going to start over fresh with a new blog, but I’m not getting rid of this one. This one will stay as more or less an archive.

I might be back tomorrow, or it might be when this term is over, or it might be longer. I need to regroup. I’m ok, just burned out.

And that’s how it looked. Was work related. Dropped the f-bomb 4 times. One of my co-workers said they were all well deserved. Just because it was true, doesn’t make it right. I should not allow myself to get that worked up over stuff I can’t control.

And a pain in the butt. I used the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin, but it didn’t work completely. Not all Wordpress files were updated, though the database was. I ended up having to manually upload Wordpress 2.7 files to complete the upgrade. I’m sure I can thank my host’s security, but had the upgrade failed completely, I had done my own files and database before I started because, well, I’m a sys admin. That’s what I do. LOL
So anyway, not sure why I bothered upgrading since I don’t seem to have the desire to write. Or read. Or comment. I have done a mark all as read with my Google Reader for the past 3 days because I just can’t concentrate on anything it seems. But, I’ve gone through these slumps before. I’ll snap out of it eventually. LOL

I have had no spare time the last few days. Busy at work. Brain dead when I get home. Homework and family time on the weekends. I can’t even keep up with my Google Reader. Except the lolcatz, of course…and loldogz…
We close on Mom’s new/old house tomorrow morning. I say “We” like I will be there. LOL. I have all the docs signed, and ready to send to the realtor and title company in the morning. That’s been occupying some free time also. Coordinating with my cousin who is doing all the leg work with Mom. As if Sharon has the time to be doing all that either. I feel truly blessed to have such a great family.

…ME! LOL

teeni gave me an award called the Honest Scrap award.
The honorees of this award are to: A) first list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep! B) pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.
So, here ya go, though I don’t think it will be overly interesting:
1. I have a very poor attention span. I will start a task, and then think of something else I need to do, and something else, until I have a bunch of different project/tasks partially completed.
2. I keep books. You are probably thinking that’s not really a big deal, but when I say I keep books, I man I cannot bring myself to get rid of a book. That includes books I will never ever read or use. I still have textbooks from elementary school.
3. I am an expert marksman with a handgun. Revolver, or semi-automatic does not matter. When I was in the Air Force, I couldn’t manage to do much more than qualify with the M16, but was the only trainee in my class when I went through 9mm training to shoot expert (40/40), and was the only female in the class.
4. I did and said some really mean things to other kids when I was a kid. I got picked on a lot, and so I thought it was ok to pick on others. I still feel really bad about the things I said.
5. I’ve seen UFO’s twice. I figure they were probably airplanes, but neither incident resembled any U.S. aircraft I have seen prior to or since. No, I was not abducted. ![]()
6. I had an intense fear of the water until I was baptized. In fact, I walked down into the water in the baptistry terrified because I was about to be dunked under water. But I told myself, “Bro. Casey won’t let you drown. He will pull you back up.” I didn’t get that panic I was expecting when I went under, and haven’t gotten it since.
7. I once hallucinated at the dentist on “laughing gas.” I opened my eyes, and the dentist was Darth Vader, and his assistant was a duck with squared-off wooden beak. I was not at all scared or even disturbed, but remember thinking it was neat. Another time, I had an out-of-body experience and was on the ceiling watching them work on my teeth. I really liked the laughing gas. LOL
8. When my daughter was a newborn, I was convinced that she was going to just stop breathing and die. I was so terrified by the thought that I couldn’t sleep, and kept having to check to make sure she was breathing.
9. When I was stationed in the UK, I got to visit the village some of my ancestors came from. It’s a small, middle-of-nowhere, quaint village. Absolutely beautiful with all the thatched roofs. It was surreal.
10. I used to talk to imaginary friends, out loud, only they were real people, just not really there with me. That comes from being an only child, I guess, but as I got older, and stopped having those conversations out loud, I continued having them in my head. Only thing, I sometimes get all into them and change facial expressions and use hand gesturing. Hopefully, only the hubby has actually witnessed those. At least he is the only one who pointed it out. LOL
Since it took me forever to finally finish this, I’m not going to tag anyone, because then I will sit here with it for another week.
Thanks teeni! ![]()
